You certainly know how to respect people.

James 315 wrote:*shrug* I probably have more respect for the miners than they have for themselves. If they act like spoiled little children, then that's how I treat them. The Code is designed to help them grow beyond that, and I think it's been working so far. Maybe that doesn't make me the most popular dude in the ice field, but over time most miners regard me as tough, but fair. Funny thing is, some of my biggest supporters are people who originally said they would never pay for the privilege of mining. They changed their minds about me, and I think you will, too.
What happens when you find an afk guy and you bump him say 30 km off a roid or whatever they are digging and... he does nothing? Do you kill them after a while?
Just asking, I have positions on the market to setup in 3 weeks...

Nothing quite says 'Hi, welcome to the best-kept belt' as having 3-D, life-sized, living statues in honor of the ships that mine there. Not far wrong. I just let them rot outside of mining range, though occasionally a suicide ganker will use me as a guide for finding AFK miners and will strike them down. If the miner is genuinely AFK and just sits there out of mining range, I'll usually send them an EVEmail explaining what happened so they're not totally confused. Otherwise they have to scroll up the local chat to figure out why their ship stopped mining. OP UPDATED WITH ADDITIONAL PURCHASESGot the latest update sorted out.
Ok thank you, I'll adjust my trading plan accordingly. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

Now, rename James315 shares to "movie tickets" and everything snaps in place. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

And if people want to blow their ISK on movie tickets then fine - but he should call it that and live up to it. Where's the YouTube vids? He should be promising a certain minimum of video captures per capita investment, then. That would be fair, right?
Well, I can't really say because I have not paid tickets for this movie, as it's not the kind I am interested in (it'd be totally different if they were ganking and not just bumping).
What I can tell you instead, is that one day I have sort of "created content" with them, as I kept baiting them with an Orca and they'd keep trying to bump it.
The first times they succeeded but then I found out some tricks and started "nimbly" dodging them. In the end I learned some flying tricks and since they don't usually blow people it's tricks learned with no risk or expense. In fact it's hard to find other guys willing to practice with you at bumping / be bumped. And that's a bad thing, because I have learned in 0.0 how powerful bumping can be. There are some insane guys out there who can bump you in *instants* as you come around a station. The more you learn in hi sec with zero losses the better for when you might have your butt at stake. Excerpts of the bits that make me uninterested.
"There's always a way for miners to avoid the destruction of their property. That's why it's essential that each time we successfully gank a target, we notify the violator of the reasons for our attack and how they can avoid future attacks. They can purchase a mining fee, follow the Code, and pledge their loyalty in their bio."
This is why I am going to sponsor some of Hulkageddon VI. I am not after comedy or roleplay, but after profits. My current hedge fund investors profits. I did the impossible to make profits to my open funds Investors, I'll do the same for the other ones. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity
